Josep Carbonell

Partner and head of the Industrial and Intellectual Property Department at Fieldfisher. I am specialise in industrial and intellectual property, unfair competition, competition law, and ICT.

I advise national companies and international corporations on their register strategies and protecting their brands and inventions. I have extensive experience in negotiating licensing agreements and contracts for the assignment of all kinds of intellectual property rights, as well as their defence in court, at both national and international level.

Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Law Degree (1988); Universitat Pompeu Fabra, LLM in IP (1993). Qualified in Barcelona (1988); joined Fieldfisher JAUSAS as Partner in 2007.

Member of the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) for the past two decades, and since 1999, I have worked as a legal advisor for the Terrassa Business Confederation (CECOT) in industrial property matters. I am also a member of the "Asociación Iberoamericana de Propiedad Intelectual" (ASIPI) and the International Trademark Association (INTA).
